Services
The CMMA sees itself as an interdisciplinary research and service facility at the OVGU Magdeburg. It provides an internationally competitive infrastructure in the field of scanning electron microscopy, ion microscopy and materials analysis. Using advanced methods, we enable detailed investigations into the structure, composition and properties of a wide range of materials.
The services offered also include comprehensive equipment training, specialised training courses and involvement in university courses.
Researchers receive expert advice and methodological support in the planning, implementation and evaluation of scientific projects. In addition, we provide technical expertise and strategic advice to assist with applications for national and international project funding.
Embedded in an interdisciplinary environment, the CMMA promotes exchange between the natural sciences and engineering, as well as medicine, medical technology, archaeology and other fields. It acts as a central service platform for scientists and industry partners. In addition, it strengthens its external profile by means of active public relations work and participation in university events.
